He overcame five-time English champion Martin Barrett within the ultimate to prime the rostrum.
Now, the highly-rated teenager goals to observe within the footsteps of Scottish legend Josh Taylor by lighting up the Commonwealth Video games.
Taylor gained gold within the residence video games in Glasgow in 2014 and is now the super-lightweight world champion.
Bonner mentioned: “My aspirations are to win the Commonwealth Video games at beginner, hopefully go to the Olympics after which flip professional.
“That’s the large purpose. It’s a large inspiration watching all these Scottish boxers doing so effectively.
“Clearly, Josh Taylor gained gold on the 2014 Commonwealth Video games in Glasgow.
“Within the quick time period, my targets are the Europeans, world championships, if attainable, and extra Scottish titles.”
Bonner added the Three Nations title to a Scottish gold and three Northern district titles as his medal tally continues to rise.
He was decided to return residence from the Three Nations match with gold.
He mentioned: “I went all the way down to get gold as that was what I had been coaching for the entire time.
“To safe the gold medal, I needed to beat England’s two greatest fighters.
“My first battle was towards England’s quantity two and within the ultimate I fought the five-time English champion.
