
The launch of Inverurie Locos Girls means youth gamers at Colony Park will now have an area pathway into senior girls’s soccer.
Colony Park at present have lady’s groups which run from under-9s as much as under-16s.
Highland League aspect Inverurie Loco Works have formally launched their first girls’s soccer workforce.
Of their announcement video, Locos trace they’ll play their first season of aggressive girls’s soccer in 2023.
Inverurie Locos turn into the third Highland League membership to have an affiliation with a girls’s workforce, with the opposite two being Clachnacuddin and Brora Rangers.
Michelle Wooden, of the newly-established Inverurie Loco Girls, mentioned: “It has been our ambition for a while to finish the participant pathway at Colony Park by taking the subsequent step and forming a women workforce.
“From the primary assembly with the Locos, it was apparent each Mike and Graeme have the identical enthusiasm and need as ourselves to make girls’s soccer sustainable within the Inverurie space.
“We’re delighted to be partnered with a well-established and revered Breedon Highland League membership which have glorious services that can permit our ladies to play and develop at Harlaw Park.
“We’re assured that is the start of a protracted and profitable relationship for the membership.”
Inverurie Locos chairman Mike Macaulay added: “It has been our ambition for the previous 5 years to introduce a girls’s workforce to Inverurie Loco Works FC as a part of our ongoing dedication to being an all-inclusive soccer membership.
“We had been delighted when Michelle and Stuart introduced this proposal to us and, with their professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication, this was a simple resolution for the membership to just accept.”
