Ms Jackson will likely be sworn because the courtroom’s 116th justice at noon, simply as the person she is changing, Justice Stephen Breyer, retires.
Mr Breyer mentioned in a letter to President Joe Biden that his retirement will take impact at midday, after almost 28 years on the nation’s highest courtroom.
The primary black lady confirmed for the US Supreme Courtroom, Ketanji Brown Jackson, will on Thursday take her seat.
