
The 1999 Open champion’s win on the Legends Tour comes per week after he misplaced a playoff for the Jersey Legends title to Richard Inexperienced.
Lawrie believes protecting a great perspective all through the week was key to his glorious win.
Paul Lawrie claimed his first win in nearly three years after cruising to victory within the Farmfoods European Legends Hyperlinks Championship at Trevose Golf and Nation Membership.
He mentioned: “I performed good all week.
“I performed good final week and actually had an opportunity to win and that’s what you attempt to take action whenever you give your self a little bit of lead clearly you’ve simply to take the emotion out of it and haven’t any ups and no downs, don’t get too excited, don’t get too indignant particularly when the wind is like that the perspective is essential.
“I simply saved going, I simply saved taking part in properly and I used to be disillusioned to 3 putt the final as a result of my tempo placing this week has been distinctive after which I battered the one on the final which is about proper however no I’m completely satisfied to bits.

Lawrie established a one-shot lead after Friday’s first spherical and doubled his benefit to 2 strokes after Saturday’s second spherical.
